Mohammad Azharuddin

Mohammad Azharuddin, an accomplished batsman and former cricketer, was born at 8th of February in the year 1963. He grown up in the Hyderabad and took his early education from the All Saints High School of Hyderabad. He has completed his Graduation (B.com) from the Nizam College, Osmania University of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

He is serving as an Indian politician. He was one of the talented and skilled batsmen and was captain of the Indian cricket team until he was banned. The match-fixing scandal of 2000 in his life made him banned from the cricket life which was later declared as unsustainable by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He is the member of the Indian National Congress as he won from the Moradabad of the UP state to the Lok Sabha.

He divorced his first wife Naureen after 9 years of marriage and got married with the model-actor Sangeeta Bijlani in the year 1996. Again after 14 years of second marriage he divorced Sangeeta Bijlani in the year 2010. He I the father of two sons named Asad and Ayaz.

He achieved 22 centuries in Test cricket match and 7 in ODIs. He was one of the excellent fielders of his time who took 156 catches in the ODI cricket. He had made the highest Test score record of 199 in the one of his Test match against Sri Lanka. He became the Wisden Cricketer of the year of 1991 and was the inspirational figure of the Indian cricket team.

His life time cricket ban was declared unsustainable at 8th of November in 2012 and the ban was lifted on by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He joined the Indian National Congress party at 19th February in the year 2009.

The biopic of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin is under production by the Bollywood producer, Ekta Kapoor. She is very eager to make a film on his biopic even she has already started working on this project. The script is writing by the writer Rajat Arora who has already written scripts for Ekta for her films like The Dirty Picture, 2011, and the Once Upon a Time in Mumbai series.
